Origami Fish Base
As you can predict by the name, the origami fish base is often the foundation for folding many origami fishes.
Origami Fish Base Step 1: Start with a 6 inch x 6 inch (15 cm x 15 cm) square origami paper, color side down.
Fold paper in half on the vertical diagonal axis. Crease well and unfold.
Origami Fish Base Step 2: Starting from the bottom, fold both sides to the center. Crease well and unfold.
Origami Fish Base Step 3: Now starting from the top, fold both sides to the center. Crease well and unfold.
Origami Fish Base Step 4: Fold paper in half on the horizontal diagonal axis. Crease only the ends on each side.
Origami Fish Base Step 5: Now bring the right side to the center. The top and bottom halves will overlap and create an extra "flap". Just press the flap down to one side.
Origami Fish Base Step 6: Repeat Step 5 on the left side and your origami fish base is complete!
